One of ForwardXP's main clients is Meta. We've created many of the retail demos for the Meta Quest headsets, which are apps that get run automatically when you put on a demo unit in a store. I've worked on four different versions of these demos over the years.
Burlingame, CA - A physical store with a massive LED wall that shows the current player superimposed into the game they're playing. You can see an example in the picture below. We worked with two other companies to build it, and I travelled to Los Angeles, CA, as well as Las Vegas, NV to perform integration tests. I helped create an iPhone app that would scan NFC tags attached to the headsets to allow the store employees to curate the experience.
Quest 2 Retail Demo - An app that allows users to select from a grid of installed and approved games to play while trying out the Quest 2. I performed maintenance for the app and periodically added new titles.
Quest 2 Self-Serve Demo - A simple app built in Unity that runs a sequence of 360-videos. Originally intended for Japan, but I made an American and EMEA version later too by request.
Quest 3 Retail Demo - Similar to the Self-Serve demo, built in Unity and played a sequence of videos, but with more advanced capabilities. Transitions could be animated, 3D effects could play, and it could show 2D videos projected on a screen in front of you. The big title for it was Batman: Arkham Shadow, and you can see a display stand for it in the picture below.
